Hey friend,

The other day, I put out an X post asking for advice to improve my sprinting form.

While 99% of the feedback I got was super helpful, of course, you had some people who wanted to make fun of me:

And that's okay.

When you start anything, you have to deal with the fact that you will be cringing.

As my friend Ed Latimore once said, "Embarrassment is the cost of entry."

My sprint form may suck right now, I know it will get better the more that I train it. This is not my final form.

While it may hurt the ego, I'm okay with the fact that I will look cringe when I'm doing something that I'm not good at.

How about you?

That said...

Here is your 4 Minute Friday:

1. Take this cheap supplement to live 3 years longer

Something I realized long ago is that taking the right supplement can optimize your body, help you perform better, and in this case, could help you live longer.

Vitamin D is like a cellular time machine.

A groundbreaking study followed over a thousand adults aged 50+ for 4 years. People who took 2000 IU of vitamin D every day experienced slower telomere shortening.

Think of telomeres as protective caps on your DNA, much like plastic tips on shoelaces. As we age, these caps shorten, leading to cellular damage and disease.

If you have shorter telomeres, you have faster aging.

Having sufficient vitamin D levels can lead to less inflammation and slower cell division, which means your telomeres won't get worn down as fast.

When combined with omega-3 fatty acids, you have a potent combination to stay on this earth significantly longer.

I've personally been using vitamin D along with K2 as well as omega-3 fatty acids in my supplement stack as they have a ton of evidence behind them in terms of better mental health, improved fat loss, and also living longer.

The great news is that they're all cheap and may be one of the most cost-effective anti-aging interventions on the planet.

2. The healthiest bread on the planet

The bread your great-grandma ate was probably healthier than 90% of what's on grocery store shelves today.

The big difference is fermentation.

While most modern breads are rushed from the mixer to the shelf in hours and contain a whole host of processed ingredients, sourdough bread takes 12 to 24 hours to ferment.

This process is great for your health:

  1. Better Nutrient Absorption: Fermentation breaks down anti-nutrients like phytic acid so you absorb more iron, magnesium, and folate.
  2. Steadier Blood Sugar: The fermentation process lowers the glycemic index, preventing any energy crashes.
  3. Improved Gut Health: Sourdough acts as a prebiotic, and it partially breaks down gluten, making it easier to digest.

Most American commercial breads contain additives like potassium bromate and azodicarbonamide, which chemicals are banned in Europe due to health risks.

I find that the healthiest foods are the ones that our ancestors ate.

The next time you want to make a sandwich or you want to satisfy your carb craving, choose the sourdough over the Wonder Bread.

There's a philosophy that is being popularized in modern-day society, and it's called "You can just do things."

While most people get paralyzed by the ifs, ands, and buts about the thing that they want to be doing, some people just go out there and do it and figure it out for themselves.

Tom Cruise (aside from the Scientology bit) is one of my favorite actors on the planet, and his philosophy on life is something that has helped me along in my journey as well.

He is the perfect example of the quote "feel the fear and do it anyways."

So when I saw this video, I had to share it with you. Hope you enjoy it.

Client of the week - Eric Palmer, Business Owner

Eric is a business owner who has six children under the age of ten, which all parents can attest can impact your ability to get healthy and take care of your body.

But he is not one to make excuses. In six months, he's dropped over 35 pounds, added muscle, doubled his energy levels, and completely transformed his health and body.

Here's how we did it:

  • We created a system for his nutrition that had him burning fat on automatic.
  • We made sure to lift weights as he was losing weight to make sure that we were building muscle and maintaining metabolism.
  • We went from eating a diet comprised of hyper-processed foods to one that was more nutrient-dense, and this contributed not only to his weight loss but also to his energy levels

The best part is he's not dragging his feet anymore and has so much energy that he's running circles around his kids and business.

One Quote to Finish Your Week Strong

“Someday. That’s a dangerous word. It’s really a code for ‘never.’”
― Tom MF'ing Cruise

When I hear the word "someday," that lets me know that this person is not serious.

While most people wait for the perfect time to improve their lives, the most successful people I know just do it with the resources they have available to them.

The best time to do it was yesterday, the next best time is now.

As promised, get healthier in under 4 minutes.
